FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Can your Conservatory Workshops be broken into different series?
Yes.  As listed under the Services tab, The Floral Project offers four different length talks and/or workshops for groups and organizations.  Contact us to let us know what works for you.

Does TFP teach safe sex workshops?
TFP does teach safe sex workshops, but we STRONGLY ENCOURAGE abstinence.  “Face reality as it is, not as it was or as you wish it to be.”- Jack Welch, in an ideal world we can live in our dreams and pretend that there is no disorder going on around us.  Many parents are troubled by the talk about sex, or are naïve to the fact that adolescents are having sex as early as 11 years old.  Refusal to face the truth can be both costly for both the parent and the child. TFP offers safe sex workshops in numerous stages, with a variety of methods. We can do a “Scared Straight” workshops, that will leave your teens leaving vowing to remain chaste or we can take a more subtle approach.  We use numerous methods to make our point.  Contact us for more details.

How can I get my daughter involved in TFP?
TFP is a movement and we would love to have your daughter(s) involved.  Feel free to contact us and we can consult on what your needs are.  Our workshops are intended for groups, and there are materials that are involved with meeting our workshop needs.  However, if you are interested in some private counseling sessions, we are open for negotiation.

What are the benefits of being involved in TFP?
The biggest benefit of being involved with TFP is the art of knowing; those that know, do. Colin Powell once stated, “A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.”  It is not ideal to send our daughters into the world unequipped to deal with the numerous societal ills that they are likely to face on their path to womanhood.  TFP is here to assist them in “Growing and Blooming” to their highest potential.  We are here to stress the value of sisterhood, offer preventative methods, encourage the importance of abstinence and again; stress the art of knowing.  “The essence of knowledge is, having it, to apply it; not having it, to confess your ignorance.”- Confucius
