Without Rain Nothing Grows

Without Rain Nothing Grows is a text that exposes youths to one of the most important character traits, which is to never give up. Rain symbolizes a trial, which creates an opportunity for growth.

The author, Latisha Blackburn, seeks to steer the reader away from self-pity and sympathy, but instead puts them on a path seeking opportunities to create a brighter circumstance. This book introduces the power of faith and believing that nothing is impossible.

Proceeds from this book will go towards sustaining the Teen Parent Mentoring Program. This program does away with assumptions that social policy should be about "fixing" teen mothers, rather than focusing on polices that might create educational environments that can effectively support young mothers and their families. Our vision is that all teen moms and dads receive the support they need to graduate high school, go on to more education and training and take their place as productive and proud adults.
